Issue: ATV18 driveset up for 2 wire control and low speed as speed reference. Product Line: ATV18, Altivar 18. Environment: All. Cause: Programming and setup. Resolution: 2 wire control for ATV18 drive will be between LI1 and +24V terminals. A maintained dry contact or a jumper can act as a run command. Low speed can be used to control the drive locally. The low speed parameter can be programmed by hitting down arrow key on the drive until LSP is shown. Once LSP shows up press data and use the up and down arrow keys to adjust setting. Once satisfied with speed press enter to save the setting.

Issue: Removal of bottom cover on ATV61 and ATV71. Product Line: Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 LHP units only or under 90KW Environment: All Cause: They can not get the the bottom cover off to check the power terminals. Resolution: 1st Turn off all power make sure the drive is not powered up and the DC bus is discharged before starting. You will need to turn the set screw counter clockwise on the control terminal pod. Next use a flat head screw drive to pry the corners on each side the cover to see if you can work it loose. Then pull down cover to remove it. This procedure is demonstrated in the video below:
