The part number change reflects component and board layout changes necessitated by a vendor change. These changes do not affect customer functionality, there are no changes to the electrical specifications, and this version is directly slot-replaceable with existing B804. The B804-116 used led's as opposed to neon's and LED's would be logic side indicators rather than field side indicators. Note: The 800 series I/O is obsolete and the M580 product line has replaced the 984 and Quantum line. Attached is information on upgrading the I/O form 800 to x80 I/O.
