Puretec NR051 Nitrate Removal Specialty Filter Cartridge incorporates a FDA approved macroporous strong base anion resin which is specially designed for the removal of nitrates from water for potable processes.

The macroporous matrix and special ion exchange group functionality imparts ideal nitrate selectivity making the NR051 particularly suitable for nitrate removal even when moderate to high concentrations of sulphate are present. Once the cartridge’s capacity is exhausted it can be regenerated using brine (salty water). This means the cartridge can be reused numerous times without having to purchase a new cartridge.The regeneration restores the resin in the cartridge to almost new condition. To regenerate the NR051, simply immerse the cartridge in a container of water saturated in salt (clean sea water is acceptable) for 15 minutes. Flush the salty water out and the cartridge us ready for re-use.
