Clipsal Pro Series –the new standard for commercial buildings

After extensive customer research, Clipsal by Schneider Electric has launched Pro Series –the first range of robustswitches and sockets designed specifically for commercial buildings, publicspaces, education and retail applications.

ID window: Pro Series sockets and switches feature two large identification windowsunder which Dymo labels or Traffolytelabels can be secured. This means your labelling is protected and always easy to read.

Secure Skins:Pro Series switches and sockets consist of a grid that is fixed to the wall at first fix, and then skins clicked on at second fix. The skins are securely clipped to the grid and cannot be removed by hand and misplaced. They can be removed witha flat head screwdriveror a special tool.

40 Mech compatibility: Pro Series is compatible with Clipsal by Schneider Electrics wide range of 40 Mechs and Modules. This range includes single and double pole switch mechs, data and network sockets, USB outlets (A & C type) as well as connected switches, dimmers,and C-Busmodules.

Robust and reliable: Developed for areas with high foot traffic such as shopping centres, airports and schools, standardsockets have a high impact resistance. They meet the IK08impact rating test, meaning they can withstand the daily knocks of a busy public place.

Pro Series is available in gloss white,and black to match common trunking usedin commercial buildings.

These modern light switches have standard and electronic modules. Power points are offered in multiple colours and horizontal and vertical orientations.

The Pro Series range offers permanent circuit identification integrated windows. And secured skins can be easily replaced with a specialised tool.

Pro Series also presents electronic functions Bluetooth connectivity, Wiser Room app connection , USB options, timers, PIR motion sensors and C-Bus modules; simplifying building management.

Issue: Implementing a hardwire stepdown transformer in a 208v or 240v environment Product Line: Smart-UPS / Symmetra Environment: APTF10KT01, APTF10KW01, and APTF20KW01, All Serial Numbers Cause: Unbalanced UPS outputs require a stepdown transformer to power 120v loads Resolution: This document refers to installing the APTF10KT01, APTF10KW01, and APTF20KW01 transformers in a North American 120/240 or 120/208 environment. For installations in other regions please consult the users manual. The wiring block outputs are as follows: For domestic use, make sure that the Terminal Block Jumper is installed between the Ground Terminal and Terminal 8 on the output wiring block, as illustrated on page 8 of the user manual. Please also make sure that the input voltage switch is in the correct position. The step-down transformer provides 240/120 output as 2 120v hots, a neutral, and a ground. It provides 208v output as a 120v hot, an 88v hot, and a ground. The 120v hot (terminal 7) and the 88v hot (terminal 9) are 180 degrees out of phase. You will measure 208v from terminals 7 to 9. The step-down transformer is not able to provide 2 120v hots that are 120 degrees out of phase as you would see with utility power. Note: If your installation requires both 208v and 120v output power you will need 2 separate subpanels: a 240v/120v panel and a dedicated 208v subpanel.
